And the witches in charge of the deep space spells, what of them? The witches on the Bureau of Deep Space Spells? they're the thin glitter line of defense, they're our only defense against the raging tide of snaggledy tooth'd aliens slavering to get ahold of us sweet morsels.

that thin twinkling line, and they never get a break. it's only due to them that the heavens look as they do, that we exist in a comfortable shell of clear black space and space enough to breathe free and swing out our arms. For out beyond that shell is a writhing infinity packed solid with greasy brown bodies!

And it was known that several alien species were eating their way in toward us. swimming through the universal crush of bodies, masticating everything in their path, becoming vast and bulbous, the size of moons...we can only hope that gravity and inertia will remain on our side, and those aliens will become simply too heavy to navigate before they reach that fragile-shell'd sphere that encompasses our world...
