the them in me

What if what I like is not what I really like, but that I like it because it is not what I'm suppose to like. Therefor the things I like are stil being influenced by the people that I don't want them to be influenced by. Am I becoming someone I'm not so that I wont be like them? And if so, then what part of me is me and not them? I have always prided myself on being me, and now I think I'm going to start living on that.
