We're sick of being jerked around.

What is it that makes people lie? I would suppose it's fear. But even so, dont those liars realize they'll get caught? Dont they realize that they're hurting someone? Im a pretty big fan of honesty. And everyone i know is honest. We speak our minds. Even if the truth hurts, we say it. Recently though i stumbled into a relationship built on lies, fueled by lies, and ended by lies. An experience like that is enough to make someone give up on trusting people. But instead, it's only made me more cautious of people and what they say. Which, in a way, sucks. Because i like to think i can trust people. I put a lot of faith in the people i know and meet. But i just dont know anymore. Can you trust the new people you meet after you've had a relationship that was a complete fabrication, from start to finish?
