what a soul is

what exactly is a soul? is it a being within us. or just what ancient scholars created to provide answers to the humble public. do i have a soul, do u? If we have souls then why doesnt every other living thing. why should we deserve a soul if we are the most destructive beings ever. a soul is not optional, a soul is not a gift, a soul is not a burden, nor is it ours. our soul do not belong to us,
so it isnt ours to give away. we are just holding it for awhile, some longer than others. someday it will be given back and we will be judged and then we will either live forever in bliss or suffer for eternity. so take care of your soul, you'll have to give it back someday.
