what I mean is...

Someone recently asked me what I mean by "I'm not sitting back anymore" and I was pleased with my response, so I thought I would post it for others who would like to know.

I have sat back and watched my life take place for too long. I used to be the type of person that would seize life. Grab it with two hands and steer it where I wanted it to go. Sure there would be unexpected bumps and turns, but I was still at the wheel.
Recently I have been a passenger in my own life... and I'm done with that.

That has been me for the past 3 or 4 years... "a passenger in my own life"!
Just sitting back and watching life blow past me, taking things as they come and thinking my life will just play out on it's own... but since I have found this site I want to take charge of my life again, be the Driver not just the Passenger! I'm gonna start working on my photography more and try and get in to some sort of photography school somewhere!

that's insightful and beautiful. being 28, i came to a point in my life where i wished i was the girl i used to be in high school: carefree, open-minded, creative. now i think back and feel like i missed the train. but at 28, has it even left the station yet? i still feel like i'm waving goodbye. sad, huh? but you're post inspired me. i hope to do more
